When local artists and musicians Ellen Warkentine and Andrew Pedroza first saw an internet meme of a fat cat sitting on top of a keyboard, they wrote a song about it. They did not know that one song would turn into many more, that “Astrocat” would become the protagonist in a found lyrics operatic experiment, or that said experiment would evolve into a full length dystopian clash between low-brow humor and high art.
